The song is called “Seize the Day” and it was written by my husband Alan Herrick. It was year’s worth of notes and scribbles in a notebook, that one night just all came together. We hired a studio in Nashville to turn his lyrics into a song. At first the song was just for us. I always loved the lyrics and the meaning behind the song, but when the studio finished and I actually got to hear it out loud, I knew this song was something special, and we wanted to share it with as many people as possible. We hope you love it as much as we do.
